How to become a member:

First of all please read the Requirements & Fees section to see if your website matches all requirements. If it does, then you may apply for the Electronic Trust Certificate. Immediately after filling out and submitting the application form you will receive an email message. You have to click the link within the message to confirm your email address. Your application will be reviewed within 72 hours then you will be notified whether your application has been approved or not. Once your account is approved you have to login and pay the membership fee. After that you will gain immediate access to the members’ area, however your website will only be listed in the ICOMMU search directory when you place the ICOMMU seal of approval on your site.

Certificate page:

The seal that you place on your site will be linked to your certificate page. This page will contain a brief description of your business and your contact information. Every visitor will be able to write a comment which will be posted at your certificate page. Comments will be checked for any inappropriate content before being posted.

Site reviews:

Once you apply you will have to wait up to 30 days until 20 people review your site. We say 30 days because the time depends on how many sites there are to be reviewed. The review could be accomplished in a faster time frame if there are less sites submitted at the time you submit yours.

Ad box exchange & Referral program:

The ad boxes automatically appear on the certificate pages, so you do not need to place anything on your website yourself. There will be 3 ad boxes belonging to other sites on your certificate page. They look like this:

Every time someone visits your certificate page by clicking on the ICOMMU seal on your website, you will be assigned 2 exposures and consequently your ad box will be viewed twice on other websites.

You can also refer other websites to join ICOMMU and this can be quite profitable for you because every time a visitor clicks on a seal of approval on a site that you've referred to ICOMMU, you will be assigned 1 extra exposure. The more websites you refer, the more times your ad box will be exposed on other certificate pages belonging to other sites.

Adding a website:

After registering and being approved you may add onto your existing account any other websites you or your company might own. These websites are, of course, also subject to approval and will be checked. Adding a website to the same certificate is free, but if you would want to create a new website with a new certificate, the cost is US $15.00 for 2 years and $5.00 per year afterwards.
