If you meet these requirements, you may apply for the ICOMMU Electronic
Trust Certificate at any time and your website will be approved within
approximately 5 business days. You will be asked to pay the membership
fee and then you will be allowed to place the seal of approval on your
website, but the 30 day verification process still needs to be gone through.
Verification:
During the next 30 days we will be checking the information you submitted
and the following sources will be used for verification:
- White pages / Yellow pages (to verify your identity or company
information)
- Forums and chat boards (to make sure there aren’t any bad
reports about your company)
- Domain whois (to check domain registration dates and what information
is listed)
At the same time we will be asking you to provide us with the following:
- A copy of a utility bill to confirm the address
- A bank letter stating that you have a bank account at a bank,
either personal or corporate. This is a standard letter and it does not
need to include your bank account number or any other information other
than that you or your company maintain an account at that bank.
None of this confidential information will ever be revealed
to any third parties. You will be able to select the information that
you’d like to be visible to your visitors.
